At the esteemed Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition held in January 2020, Amorim Fine Violins will be donating a Luiz Amorim violin as a prize in the upcoming contest.

Based in Boca, USA, the competition cultivates the talent of young violinists aged 16-32, nurturing contestants with career support and performance opportunities. The EOIVC aim to provide a strong foundation for the success of its competitors, delivering more than just a monetary prize of $30,000 to the 1st prize winner.

Their mission is to assist young musicians with networking, artistic management, PR, community engagement and concert opportunities; all in addition to an amazing instrument, bow and case as 1st and 2nd place prize.

The violin

Each Luiz Amorim violin is handcrafted to meet the needs and expectations of highly esteemed musicians. Professionals from all over the world consider their instrument a brilliantly unique violin, exuding a deeply powerful sound with a sweet tone and rich harmonics.

Amorim Fine Violins are delighted to have been personally chosen to donate one of the prizes for the competition, a Luiz Amorim copy of the Joseph Guarneri “del Gesù” Ole Bull, 1744 (pictured).

The Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition takes place January 14th-26th 2020.
