Sean Avram Carpenter

Violinist and Co-Founder of the Salomé Chamber Orchestra

As a violinist performing and using a Guarneri “Del Gesù” violin, I was searching for a contemporary copy that contains similar qualities–depth of tone, quality, and projection.  Luiz Amorim’s 1744 “Ole Bull” Guarneri copy (made in 2017) has these in spades! I consider Luiz to be among the most talented violin makers alive, and his latest Guarneri copy is suitable for the most demanding solo concerts and performances.  His violin is a pure joy to play on (and even to look at with gorgeous varnish and wood used!). I consider myself very fortunate indeed to have crossed paths with this great maker.  Bravissimo!!”
